The one with the crazy week

Sunday night I was finally able to sit down and chill, catch up on some TV and eat whatever I wanted. To not do anything was really needed after a mega busy week, here are just some of the things that happened!

Happy Birthday to Andy! A quick birthday lunch in between training in Seco Lounge on Royal William Yard.

Myself and Tonia had an exciting day filming part one for the Sky Sports TV programme Game Changers, we taught 10 school children how to dive together in a synchro pairing. They all paired up but I was surprised at how quickly they managed to dive in sync considering we have never actually coached diving before. Then again, it is our speciality, we should really be good at teaching it! I found it hard trying to tell them what they had done wrong for improvement the next time, this was only their second lesson! The second part is live with us having a little interview and I have heard we have to play a game to see how many basketballs we can throw into the hoop! It could potentially be really embarrassing. The children's television programme will air on Sky Sports on Saturday 18th October at 9am.
The team for Game Changers!
We also opened and unveiled a brand new fitness trail at Cann Bridge school this week in Plymouth. I loved the look of the school, it is an amazing place for young people with disabilities and learning difficulties. To see the children so delighted with the new outside area is why we both happily volunteer.
With some of the children and Lady Taverners

Having a go on the new outside 'cross trainers'.

Edd! The best performance lifestyle manager is leaving, I have worked with Edd for 2 years now and when he said he had accepted a job for Southampton football club I was gutted! In the last two years he has helped me with a public speaking course, cooking lessons, diving coaching course, journalism trials, work experience, making my CV look pretty plus much more but also motivating me to look beyond diving and into a career for the future. Edd will be missed and to wish him luck with his new job we enjoyed our amazing meal at Morgans restaurant.
Edd is next to Andy.
At the end of the week Topshop were kind enough to book us both in for a personal shopper. It was so much fun exploring the whole of Oxford Circus Topshop in London looking for an outfit to wear to our next event. Two hours later we left pretty happy with a new outfit, including shoes and bags.

Lastly, one of my good friends Noemi Batki is training with us in Plymouth for two months. Noemi is from Italy and was the silver medallist at the European Championships this year. Its nice to have her over here having a different personality to train with, it also shows although we are international rivals and battled against each other at the European Championships, we are also good friends.

This weeks events were all organised in between training whilst trying to do research for my Masters course! Next blog will feature the Attitude awards congratulating Tom on 'Man of the Year'.

Any questions or topics to write for upcoming blogs please leave in the comment box.

My blog is slowly under construction, hoping to make it look all nice when I find time!
