Children in Need at the Life Centre

This week has been all about Children in Need. Plymouth Diving with the Life Centre has really got behind the charity and Pudsey has been all over the place.

Andy, Tonia and I held a training/ fun session for the lifeguards and family on Tuesday afternoon for an hour in between our training sessions. We managed to raise £250, it was great fun seeing everyone enjoying themselves and it was nice to be on the poolside rather than in the pool for a change! I think the lifeguards got a feel of how hard it is to dive and how easy we make it look while they are watching and sitting in their lifeguard chair.

Tonight for the Children in Need show on BBC1some of the Plymouth Dive Team put on a spectacular display on the 5m platform, 34 divers in a one single 'flight' with fire going off at the same time. The video below shows how close the divers have o be to each other, luckily we had a few practices as some came a bit too close!

Myself and Tonia also had a bit of fun up on 10m with little Oscar, we were in a bit of a comedy sketch, we performed a reverse dive with Oscar running in between us! Not much different from training with him then! A fun week getting involved in the Children in Need charity, we even helped by eating some of the cake from the cake stand after training, donations courtesy of coach Andy Banks.
